Monster Bash Convention 2000 Home Page This is the official web site for the Monster Bash convention and it's loaded with the latest guests and events, as well as a list of Bash vendors and all things Bash!   Check it often...there's always something "ghoul" to report about the upcoming Monster Bash.

Chiller Theatre This is the long-running and best-known of the monster-horror conventions.  Chiller is always worth planning to visit--if only for the Con's famous (and infamous) Halloween parties!

FrightVision Another great fright fan festival started by fans for fans.  FrightVision's list of guests is always impressive and the Con offers an eclectic mix of film genres to fete.  We'll see you there!

New Orleans Worst Film Festival If you live in the New Orleans area, you're in for a treat!  These intrepid bad-movie lovers regularly stage festivals showing the "so-bad-they're-good" flicks to raise money for a worth charity.  Even if you can't attend a showing, the website is worth a visit!  Check out our article on this group.

Cinema Wasteland Movie And Memorabilia Expo From the folks that brought you the first on-line horror and exploitation video rental service comes a convention devoted to the same horror and exploitation films.  It's held every October just minutes from Cleveland, Ohio. 

Spooky World Sort of a "Demented Disneyland," this full-flown fright amusement center is a Northeastern  Mecca for lovers of horror and all things that frighten!  If you can crawl, slither, or creep to Massachusetts, you have to drop (dead) in here!

Knott's Scary Farm Halloween Haunt This very well-designed website is a tribute to the scary activities at the famous Knott's "Scary Farm" amusement center during Halloween, and the site is a scary treat just in itself.  Makes old Renfield wish he lived close enough to attend.

TV Horror Hosts This site, webmastered by George "E-Gor" Chastain, who also webmasters The Monster Bash site, is an absolute Mecca for those of us fortunate enough to have grown up with those lovable, lunatic late-night hosts who affected a variety of creepy guises and presented a variety of horror flicks. It's always growing with info on established and new horror hosts.

Creature Feature with Count Gore De Vol a fun fright site, where Count Gore De Vol does on the Internet what he did to horror movies for 15 years, hosting Creature Feature on WDCA-TV in Washington, DC.  Check it out every week for shivers and grins!

Off Beat Cinema These are a trio of cool cats who like to make the beatnik scene on TV and watch some cool creepy flicks, man.  It's a great "offbeat" horror host show and well worth watching.  The coffee is always hot and the movies are always cool!  

Halloween Theater The website of "Dug Graves," who hosts a horror radio show and produces Dr. Zombie's TV show on Channel 8 in Modesto, CA.   "Dug" is a double-threat, and his website is a ghoul's delight!

Graveyard Shift The official web page of Australia's one and only Horror Host, the witchy and seductive Tabitha, the "Down Under" Elvira!  Check out her site and you'll agree that Tabitha's show should become an international sensation as well as a national one!

Graveyard Theatre This is the official website for the Horror Host of Graveyard Theatre on Channel 56 in Gary, Indiana, the ever-lurking Laslo.  There is a full schedule of shows here and some nice photos from the show.

Chiller Cinema This is the official Web page for the Horror Host who haunts Tennessee...Dr. Gangrene, whose Chiller Cinema is seen in Henderson and Nashville.  In addition to information about the show, the site boasts movie reviews and video buying recommendations.

T.V. Horror Host Gallery A unique tribute page to the legendary TV Horror Hosts, where you can go through a pictorial presentation of the late-night TV monster emcees at their scary best.  The site covers Horror Hosts from the Fifties to the present in grand visual style, and is highly recommended.

Pleasant Nightmares A on-line tribute page to the horror host Sammy Terry who haunted the TV airwaves in Indianapolis.  The site also remembers Selwin and other Hoosier horror hosts.

Spooky Tom's This is an off-the-wall site (the webmaster offers a view of his snake collection!), but it's a prime source for Kansas City TV horror hosts from 1958 to 1990.  

Ghoulardi This is the original fan tribute page to Ghoulardi, the wacky and offbeat Cleveland horror host who has become a legend and now even has his own annual convention.

Fright Night (The Fearmonger's Chambers) A nice tribute site to the Fright Night horror host show that ran in Louisville from 1971 to 1975. 

The Cool Ghoul Page This horror host site is actually hosted by the Cool (Cyber) Ghoul himself, whose show ran in the Cleveland area from 1970 to 1972 and 1984 to 1986.

Local Legends Actually, local Los Angeles television host "legends."  If you grew up "ghastly" in the L.A. area, this site is truly a walk on the nostalgic side.  L.A. horror hosts included!

Friday Fright Home Page This is the official home page for the new "Friday Fright" horror and monster film series to run on the B-Movie Channel.  It's a cool site and it'll whet your appetite to see the show when it airs.

Horror Host Gallery A splendid web tribute to those video vendors of horror films who introduced most of us to the genre. A well-rendered site.

Jeepers' Creepers Theater Dedicated to Los Angeles' KCOP, Channel 13's Jeepers Creepers, Ghoulita, Jeepers' Keeper and the Creeper, all TV horror hosts from Sept. 1962 through March 1966, authorized by KCOP TV 13.

Undead Theater This website has to be seen to be believed!  Actual film clips with hilarious added music and sound effects.  Films such as White Zombie and Dracula are skewered (all in fun).  You'll need Real Player to view the films, but this site makes it worth the download.

Urban Chillers This is a new portal for original, independently made, horror films.   This site does more than simply showcase these terrifying little gems...it shows them!  You can download the necessary software at the site.  Visit these folks and bring some popcorn along.

Horror Online This is the official Universal Studios horror film website, and it offers daily updates on horror film happenings, the occasional video clip to view, and sometimes a cool horror film-related on-line game (especially at Halloween).   Videos are sold here, too.  Joe Sena, editor-in-chief, was once the webmaster of a horror fan site.

Forrest J Ackerman's Wide Webbed World The Ackermonster himself, Mr. "Sci-Fi," editor emeritus of Famous Monsters Magazine, and the First Citizen of Film Fright, hosts his own website and it's simply a horror hoot!  A must-visit site!

Ted V. Mikels Web Site This is the official Website for infamous bad-film master Ted V. Mikels, well-known to trash-horror fans for The Astro-Zombies and The Corpse Grinders.  Dennis, the Webmaster for the "Harry Thomas Web Site," also skippers this sites as well. 

ChopTop's Safe Place for Psychos This site, by Bill Moseley, who play "Chop Top" in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Part Two and was interviewed by HORROR-WOOD, now has a site for fans of psycho movies...strait-jackets optional but encouraged.

The Official Tom Savini Homepage The still reigning movie makeup maestro, whose film credits, such as Dawn Of The Dead, are legion, has his own site and he keeps it well updated.  A mandatory website for any horror film fan. 

The Official Bob Burns Web Site Yes, the man who played "Tracy The Ape" on the original Ghostbusters show and who has been involved with horror hosts horror films and horror celebrities for decades has his own place on the Web.   It's chock full of fun and a hoot to visit.

The Ghoul Next Door Kyra Schon, a "cover ghoul" for HORROR-WOOD, portrayed the little zombie girl who orphaned herself in the original Night Of The Living Dead. Her website boasts cool NOTLD artwork and even some neat items for sale.

Stephanie Beaton's Homepage Stephanie, who was interviewed in an article in HORROR-WOOD, is a rising young horror and genre actress who loves horror films, new and old. Visit her homepage and join her fan club!

Officially Licensed Website of Bela Lugosi The official Bela Lugosi Website, just being developed by Bela Jr. and Tim Lugosi (his son). This is sure to be a prime source for Lugosi fans. Pay it a visit...Bela Jr. "bids you welcome"!

The Pitt Of Horror This is the official website for that Hammer "Scream Queen" cult fave Ingrid Pitt.  It's chock full of interesting info on the luscious Ms. Pitt and her Hammer and non-Hammer film projects, as well as her current activities.

David L. Duggins Dave Duggins, a regular contributor to HORROR-WOOD, has his own site on the World Weird Web, featuring lots of the personal, insightful writing that HORROR-WOOD readers love.  Pay Dave a visit today!

Evil skip's Movie Joint This "joint" is a fan review site, one that concentrates on the more obscure horror films of the Sixties and later, such as the Dr. Mabuse films and shock films based on Edgar Wallace stories.  This is definitely great material not found anywhere else and it deserves your patronage.

Brains On Film This is rather a gonzo film Website that features some of the most appealing trashy films imagineable--and they do cover some horror flicks too.  Not for the kiddies, but adults will get a kick from it.

Bad Movie Night Here is a cleverly rendered, wickedly funny site chock full of well-written reviews of many of the bad movies most of us love, with a heaping helping of horror and monster flicks included.  If you had a "bad hair" day, why not have a "bad movie" night?

Horror Bay This is a promising little horror film review website that features horror movie rants, reviews, and even horror haiku!  They promise more classic horror coverage in the future, so check them out.

Psychotronic Film Society Some folks in Chicago set up a group to watch and enjoy the off-the-wall, nutty, and just plain weird films (many of them horror orientated) that are now known as "psychotronic."  Their website is a fun forum of their activities, their awards, and it also boasts an on-line magazine and spotlights David "The Rock" Nelson! 

Parilese's Horror Domain One of the new and very well done horror film review sites, with in-depth reviews of many horror film favorites.  She also hosts a horror message board and her own horror webring.

The Golden Turkey Awards Yes, the folks that started the "bad movie" movement back in 1978 are now on-line and not only providing their previous bad-movie findings but are also seeking inputs from you as to what films should be parboiled in their forthcoming sequel to The Golden Turkey Awards.  Visit them and let your voice be heard.

Jabootu's Bad Movie Dimension A truly "gonzo" site, tackling bad movies and the bad movie culture.  The site features priceless reviews of many schlocky horror flicks, frequently updated movie news, precious "nuggets" of wisdom, and the "nation of Jabootu."  What is Jabootu?  Visit the site and find out!

The Terror Trap Yet another well-designed (and well-filled) horror film review site that is a pleasure to navigate and peruse.  Lots of classic horror films are reviewed here, and the sites doesn't shy away from the blood-and-gore flicks--be aware.

Absolute Horror A very well-rendered film review site that is packed with reviews of horror B-movies, as well as a section of "weirdest deaths," and an on-going horror movie poll.  The site concentrates on the newer, more bloody B-movies, so keep that in mind.

3 Idiots Guide to Horror This is one of the first horror film fan sites that appeared on the World Weird Web.  Not updated for eons, the 3 Idiots have begun again to keep this site active and it's got a heck of an attitude and a penchant for reviewing the kind of flicks John-John loves. 

Dante's Inferno Or, "the Video Vault of the Damned!"  This clever site seeks to review some of the most off-beat and strange videos around, with some emphasis on horror films.  Worth a visit just to read the "infernal ravings of a madman."

The Losman's Lair of Horror The Losman has had a long-running and critically praised website dealing with all manner of things related to horror in films.  Some of the site's best sections are the "really bad horror films" and the "disturbing movies" and "slasher city."  We suspect John-John has visited this site!  You should, too! 

Panphilia This "kitchen sink" site has lots of wacky and wild subject matter, all of which deserve exploring, but the site's primary interest to horror fans is its in-depth and funny reviews of some horror and trash film classics.  You'll probably dig the site's Sixties styling as well.

The Ghoulie Awards This is a contest run by a video retailer who seeks to "recognize horror excellence on home video and the all-time "spook"-tacular movies with an annual awards presentation."  A praiseworthy effort.  Go and place your vote today!

Bad Cinema Diary A tremendous "bad film" review site with short reviews and some artwork from over 600 "guilty pleasures" from all film genres, with a generous helping of horror flicks.  As the webmaster says, check out his reviews before you see the film--the pain you save will be your own.

Combustible Celluloid A nice movie review site by Jeffrey M. Anderson that contains a bevy of B-film reviews, including a "Halloween 100" list.  Jeffrey does the critics one better by coming up with a roster of films the American Film Institute should have picked.

The Bad Movie Review Website Just what it says...a site dedicated to those "bad" films that are so "good" to watch!  There's some great multimedia on these films at the site as well as a message board and a mailing list.

Wicked Al's Horror Reviews Wicked Al runs a site solely dedicated to horror film reviews, and he slices and dices your favorite fright flicks for your reading pleasure.   Wickedly good fun!

Last Page on the Left This excellent film review site is filled with film reviews on obscure, strange, and cultish horror films.  It also spotlights film "strangeness," which alone make the site worth the visit.

Hammer House Of Horror TV Series Site This is a very nicely rendered site in homage to the Hammer Studio's short-run television series, Hammer House Of Horror.  There's lot of information on the series, provided by a sincere and talented fan.

Monster Horror Chiller Theatre This fan site has more than fright film reviews--it also offers info on horror films currently on TV as well as the top ten monsters of the month!

The Bad Movie Report  This fun site "stomps Tokyo" and stomps bad movies as well.   Some of the funniest genre film reviews are to be found here.  Highly recommended for bad movie addicts.

The Thriller Chiller Page An eclectic blend of classic and contemporary horror and monster film reviews are collected here, as well as some nice graphics.  A fun, low-tech fan website.

Movie Spoofs Just as the name indicates, this is a fun website that offer parodies and spoofs of favorite films and films they should have made--like "Benji The Vampire Slayer!"  The website's spoofs will slay you, too...be warned. 

Guestar This is the B-movie review site "for the new Millennium," and it certainly provides insights into some of the most entertaining B-horror and other genre films of the past Millennium.

Henrik's Hammer Movie Reviews This is Hammer fan Henrik Larsen's page of reviews of the many Hammer fright flicks he's seen and enjoyed (mostly!).  His reviews are really fun to read and informative...we use some of them in HORROR-WOOD.  Newly updated.

The Video Graveyard This is the website maintained by Chris Hartley, who runs the Attack Of The 50-Foot Webring.   Over 800 reviews, all of them short but to the point. A handy reference for horror film fans. 

Deconstructing Edward - A Film Geek's Page Ted Prigge's unconventional film fan page, with lots of insightful film reviews presented in a refreshingly irreverent attitude.

The Cadaver's Gravesite A "site" for a sore cadaver's eyes, indeed, with well-thought-out horror film reviews along with stills, production information, and more on the creepy films we love.

Bill Chancellor's Art Page This is a sort of art studio site for one of the best horror and sci-fi artists existent, Bill Chancellor, whose work has graced the covers of Cult Movies and Screem magazines. There's some of great horror and sci-fi artwork here. Check out our interview with Bill.

Matinee Today - Film Art - Film Posters This is the pre-eminent site for movie poster and movie image artwork. Phil Grey is a talented artist who has rendered the glossy artwork of yesterday's Hollywood to visual life. A great collection of horror and monster movie posters lurk here, too.

Monster Magazines--The First Decade This new Web site is a feast for the eyes...it is dedicated to reproducing the classic covers of the monster magazines of the Sixties.   It's a bit graphic-intensive, but it's worth the download time.

Disturbing Images "This site is dedicated to the perseverance of one man and his almost uncanny interest in recreating the morbid and grotesque images usually seen only by the coroner."  Not for the squeamish! 

SCIFIMART If you are at all into the fantastic horror comics produced by Entertaining Comics (EC), this is simply the site for you.  It has an abundance of good information of those early Fifties cult comics, and some nice artwork as well.

Snowdawg's Home Page A irreverent page by a pair of special effects make-up artists now headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. They feature pictures of their make-up work at the site. They tell us they've "been into the horror scene since the early days of Famous Monsters of Filmland."  Pay them a visit!

Scream Queen Online: Daily Horror Comic This is the first-ever daily horror comic strip and it's quite well done, with a shapely lady battling things that go bump in the night.  Visit the site daily for continuing strip updates--it's almost like viewing a daily horror serial!

Tales from Uranus! How does a well-drawn, witty comic strip that resembles a Fifties giant monster flick on laughing gas sound?  If that's your cup of tea, here's the place for you!  The artwork is wonderfully in-your-face, and it's the first comic that should be shown on drive-in screens!

Zombie Commandos From Hell! And once you're done with "Tales From Uranus," you can click over to this similarly well-drawn and entertaining horror comic strip!   If you like "zombie stomping." you'll love this comic strip!

The Astounding B Monster A top-notch webzine, beautifully designed and expertly written by Marty Baumann, and just plain fun to read, detailing B-movies, B-producers, B-directors, and B-actors. Top writers like Tom Weaver appear here regularly. This is the "prozine" of the genre webzines!

Classic Horror A monthly fanzine dedicated "to preserve the history of horror through reviews, filmographies, and random scrawlings" and also to offer its own "Bride Of Ed Wood Awards" for the worst horror films.  It offers a huge repository of horror film reviews and you can rate 'em on-line yourself.  Check 'em out each and every month.

Monster Kid Magazine A new and thoroughly frightful...er, delightful Webzine dedicated to "the innocent fun of classic monster movies," the kind of fun that led many of us to remain fans of the genre well into adulthood.  This is a class act, a fun read, and very welcome, indeed.  

Scary Monsters Magazine Website The new website for that fright fan favorite Scary Monsters magazine, certainly the most fan-oriented of the genre mags.  This is a fun site to visit with lots of neat stuff from the mag's archives.

The B-Movie Guide This is one of the longest-lived, most imaginative, and just plain fun-to-read chronicles of fun "bad" films on the Web.  It's a site that all film fans should visit--horror fans in particular, since quite a few fright films are dissected here in affectionate detail.

Hacker's Source Online A fan's horror 'zine, it's a collection of short stories, arts, poetry, interviews...all horror-related. This 'zine went  into real publication recently, so surf there and see if you'd like a "hard" copy.

The House Of Pain Despite the name, it's certainly no "pain" to enjoy this professionally rendered webzine, which offers the horror fan great horror fiction, art, and film reviews, as well as exclusive interviews.  Be sure to check out the "parting gifts!"

Underground Entertainment Another well-produced print 'zine dealing with the film genre we all love.  The quarterly publication deals with horror films and horror stars, of course, but also haunted attractions and Halloween activities.  Worth a read.

The Creature's Tomb Another fun fan webzine that celebrates both classic monsters and the more recent "chainsaw" horrors.  The site also has good information on horror collectibles and action figures.

Cannibal Culture "...Cannibal Culture is primarily a magazine of horror and its humorous counterpart..." Indeed, and it's quite a well produced print 'zine.  Definitely different, definitely worth your attention.

DarkFont:Pennsylvania's Journal of Dark Romanticism the monthly on-line journal of supernatural horror and romance with an emphasis on Pennsylvania people, places, events, and enterprises.  It's a well-done site that covers subjects ranging from TV horror hosts to Scooby Doo!

MindMares Magazine The official website for a small press 'zine that covers horror stories and poetry, as well as other horror-related subjects.  A unique and interesting magazine, well worth checking into.

The Seventh Tower A new webzine that covers horror films and horror film personalities, as well as sci-fi artwork, chemistry experiments, psychiatric medications, and other interesting subjects.  A real mixed bag of a webzine, but one well worth opening--read about James Whale and Tarot cards!

Delirium Online Magazine This is one webzine that aims toward the gothic side of horror.   Each new issue features articles on vampires, "goth" music, witchy rituals, and all that "basic black attire" sort of thing.  The "Editress" wishes you a happy Samhain!

Shock Theatre "The e-zine of horror and the fantastic" ushers you into a haunted theater where you'll find video reviews, a horror film art gallery, and some nifty special effects.

Dark Waters A truly unique webzine that truly explores the "dark waters" of obscure and arcane horror and cult movies. Jeff Frentzen and his staff cover films you'll not find discussed anywhere else.

The B Feature Next To the "Astounding B Monster," this is the on-line source for B-movie reviews, views, and information.   This is a superb fan site and deserves regular visits.

The Dagger of the Mind A new on-line magazine dedicated to monsters and horror in radio, live theater, and television.  Sort of the "yin" to HORROR-WOOD's "yang."  Pay it a visit.

Schlock Gazette An on-line webzine that specializes in the wonderfully awful film, the hilariously inept flick, the cinema of the obtuse...it covers horror, exploitation, and midgets!  A must-visit!

Underground Entertainment: The Magazine Not only the site for the monthly print magazine, this spot on the Web features haunted attractions, Halloween activities, and celebrity interviews.

Rue Morgue Magazine The website for a high-quality and somewhat high-brow horror in culture print magazine.  It's a prestige effort by a group of talented writers and editors and merits your attention.

Scarlet Street The long-running magazine of horror films and mystery movies, where Count Dracula and Sherlock Holmes are discussed side-by-side.  The website had some good articles cached as well as interesting information about the magazine.

The Monster Club Home page of the Monster News Comic Book / Monster Magazine as well as a newsletter you can subscribe to.  A wealth of information on horror and monster films and their stars are here, as well as the "first factual horror comic book style publication."

The Asylum Another new webzine that covers "B"-movies, especially trashy horror flicks. It features a nice picture gallery, but beware of the underground torture chamber! 

Monster-Mania! A new, hot-off-the-web ' zine dedicated to classic monster and horror flicks.   It features monster and horror film new, film reviews, a message board, and even a store!  

Tomb Creeper's Monster News The website for the print 'zines produced by the Tomb Creeper, as well as a place to chat about horror flicks and submit your film reviews, too.  You can also join the Monster Club here.

Plastic Iguana Publishers of Wasteland Horror And Sci-Fi Magazine and the comic book, Dr. Pork. A tasty site, and the two publications are well worth a look.

Horror And Gore Online Zine This is a brand-spanking-new horror webzine that has great promise, an irreverent attitude, and lots of enthusiasm. Visit the Clown Thug!

FrightNet Online Magazine Ivan Graves' (love that name!) bi-monthly webzine that showcases quality horror fiction and poetry, as well as reviews of novels, magazines, and websites involved in the genre.

Shocking Images A truly unique cult print and online 'zine that's earned the designation as the official Lucio Fulci website. It also features the films of that blaxploitation superstar Dolemite!

Cult Cuts This is the official website for the print magazine that covers cult moves from a fan's perspective (just the way we like it). Well worth subscribing to.

Monster-Mania Home Page If you love horror models and collectibles, look no further!  David Hagen has what you're drooling for. And his site is a treat for horror and monster film fans. Pay him a visit and check out the "Bates Motel" model!  Also, check out his monthly column in HORROR-WOOD here.

Monstrous Movie Music This is a terrific little firm that is bringing out creepy cool CDs of favorite themes from our best-loved fright flicks.  Pay them a visit and let them haunt your CD player!

Stoner's Monster Mayhem As Stoner himself says, if you're looking to buy monster memorabilia, this website is a great place to commence your collection.  It's an informative website to visit even if you're not in the market.   Don't forget to say "Boo" to Witchipoo!     

Attack of the Clay People! The artist, Barry Crawford, molds classic horror figurines (and other cult favorites as well) and the results are truly wonderful!  A few of his "clay monsters" are a must for any serious monster memorabilia collector.

Monsterwax Trading Cards Monsterwax Trading cards: A cool sight of monstrous trading cards, new and vintage. Buy/sell/trade. Relive those monster memories with gum cards.

The Aurora Monster Kit Site Everything you wanted to know about those great Aurora monster model kits of the Sixties and Seventies. After visiting this site, you'll wish Mom never threw your "Wolfman" model away!

The Gallery of Monster Toys In addition to the great classic Aurora kits, this super site showcases other classic monster kits as well as monster toys. Now you'll know what to ask Santa for Christmas (if Santa had a time machine!).

The Monster Collector This website is dedicated to collectors of "macabre and scary stuff."  It offer articles on collecting all the scary stuff and includes some good information on what's out there to collect.

Attack Of The Monster Garage Kit A gallery of monster figure garage model kits built and painted by Bill Jones of Austin, TX.  It's like a walk through a horror film statue gallery and it's great nostalgic fun.

The Lon Chaney Home Page A sincere fan tribute to the late "Man Of A Thousand Faces," featuring a complete filmography, stills and posters from Chaney's films, and even information on buying Chaney's films on home video.

The Wonderful World Of K. Gordon Murray A well-researched and graphic-rich tribute to the man who brought us those wacky and wonderful Mexican horror flicks as well as explotation gems like Shanty Tramp.  Long overdue and very welcome indeed.

Giants and Girls This is certainly one of the more unusual horror film fan tribute Websites, one that specifically pays tribute to movie monsters and mutants that chase (and sometimes get) pretty damsels in distress.  The site is basically a collection of stills that reflect that theme and there is some nudity, so be advised.

The House That Haunted Jack Built  This is a tribute to the classic horror films of the past by Brian Easton who has not only contributed articles to HORROR-WOOD, but also has published a horror novel.  His Website is lots of fun.

I Remember Mummy This excellent site is a tribute to the classic "Mummy" films and amounts to a high-tech slide show...well worth getting on your camel to visit.   Bring your tana leaves.

Zombie Girls Who says girls don't like horror movies?  These girls do, and they have put up a Website to prove it!  It's a fun site with lots of horror film opinions and news.  Be sure to check out the fun horror film-related downloads.

Al Adamson dot Com Well, it had to happen...the z-budget director of such campy "classics" as Brain Of Blood and Dracula Vs. Frankenstein now has a commemorative site.   When you check it out, you'll learn more about the late Al Adamson than you likely wanted to know!

Classic Horror Movies This is a comprehensive listing of the truly classic horror films with a direct link to buying the film, as well as a nice collection of links to other horror sites and a couple of polls to participate in as well.

Tribute to Horror This is another well-produced fan Website dedicated to the classic horror films, one that offers some fun stuff for the surfers, such as a horror movie quiz and a horror movie poll.

Night Terror.com A professionally designed fan Website that provides the latest horror film industry news and updates on the latest DVD and video horror releases.  Surfers can chat, play scary games, or even send a bloody postcard here.

The Complete Coleman Francis Pages If you're a fan of outrageously bad directors like Ed Wood, you'll love this site.  Francis directed Beast Of Yucca Flats among other incredibly bad and cheap films.  This nice tribute page is long overdue.  

Val Lewton Page This is a thoughtful, in-depth, and well-written tribute to the master of Golden Age atmospheric film horror, Val Lewton.  Anyone interested in quality filmic horror needs to know about Val Lewton, and this is an excellent place to start.

The Harry Thomas Web Page Dennis, who has appeared several times in HORROR-WOOD in his own right, maintains a wonderful web site that details the career of the great horror makeup artist Harry Thomas as well as items from his own horror film collection.

Classic horror movies With The Missing Link This is a very nicely rendered website with a genuine appeal for fans of the classic horror stars.  Join the "missing link" in paying tribute to the scary film legends of yesteryear.

William Girdler Website A very nicely rendered website tribute to William Girdler, the cultish director of such fun-schlock horror films as Abby, Grizzly, and Asylum Of Satan.  You won't regret getting to know more about this largely ignored director here.

Chuck's Universal Monsters House Of Horrors Chuck, AKA The Wolf Man, really loves the old Universal horror and monster classic films and this site gives you a great multi-media tour of the famous studio's "house" monsters of the Thirties and Forties.

The Horror of Party Beach Web Site Yes, the seminal teenage, rock and roll, beach party, and goofy monster movie has finally earned it's own web site.  Although the site is not "deep," it has a lot of great and fun graphics and will certainly put you in the mood for a swinging time with the Del Aires!

The Hill of the Seven Jackals This website is dedicated to Kharis, the infamous Mummy of Universal Studio's classic "Mummy" films.  Everything you'd want to know about the Mummy is buried here, ready for your excavation.

Chuck's Universal Monsters House Of Horrors A big fan of the classic Universal monsters, Chuck's site is a nice tribute to those celluloid creatures.  He also sells reproduction posters and lobby cards at the site.

Doc Tangent's 3-D House Of Mad Science An eclectic website, dedicated to B-movies, comic books, weird science. and other fun stuff.  This is a promising site and will bear a regular visit to see what it features next.

Last Site On Earth A clever website dedicated to George A. Romero's Night Of The Living Dead and Richard Matheson's I Am Legend. It's also the home of Deadline Press, which publishes some interesting horror material.  Check out their Caroline Munro Appreciation Page!

The Ed Wood Appreciation Page For all who have a warm spot in their hearts for the hapless filmmaker Ed Wood (and who doesn't?), this site provides an affectionate look at his anti-classic films and his other "mess-terpieces."  The "Plan 9" bloopers and the "fun facts" are a hoot to read!

The Unofficial Plan 9 From Outer Space Web page If you're a fan on Ed Wood and bad films generally, this tasty little website gives you all you'll ever need (or want) to know about Ed Wood's greatest non-hit, Plan 9 From Outer Space.  Vote for your favorite Plan 9 line in their poll!

Drac's Mausoleum "Drac" is Bill Edwards, a real horror fan, and his Web page is a horror fan's tribute to horror films.  Check out his "ghoulish" artwork and his tribute to Ben "Creature From The Black Lagoon" Chapman.

Fright Time This is "Lizzi The Loon's" website of things that go bump in the theaters (and between the pages) and it's a fun presentation of what interests horror fans.

Classic Monsters Site A sincere fan tribute site to those classic Universal monsters we all love.  There's some good inormation on the classic creatures as well as information on the television series The Munsters.

Classic Horror Movies Tribute Page For those who love the classic monsters (no Jason, no gore) this fan tribute site has a lot to offer.  You might check out their "Mystery Photo Contest."  Don't miss the site's excellent "Universal Studios Horror Genealogy."

Layette Castle Another Hammer Films tribute website by a dedicated fan.  This is a well-done effort, featuring reviews of, and nice graphics from, the best of Hammer horror.

Dr Geoff's Horror House Dr. Geoff has the prescription for fans craving horror film fixes--horror film reviews and information and loads of it, all arranged in a tasty buffet that covers fright films by monstrous cate-"gories" as Vampires and Zombies.

Black Widow's Web (Lissa's Home of Horror) Webmastered by Lissa, who is such a fright fan that she had her wedding on Halloween!  Her site has reviews of horror films, books, comics, and  her original artwork, which is based mostly on the works of Sandman and other horror comics.

King Kong - The Eight Wonder of the World The ultimate fan website for King Kong, expertly maintained by Boyd Campbell.  Boyd also features information on stop-motion animation and a tribute to stop-motion master Ray Harryhausen.

Staci Layne Wilson Staci, a contributor to HORROR-WOOD, is also a published novelist, an artist, a web designer, and daughter of one of the original members of "The Venture" band!  Visit her site and read her books!

Horror Movies.Com This is the super horror movie fan site maintained by Attila, with the best horror film discussion board on the Web and some great horror resources.  Register with the discussion board and join in the horror chat!

Universal Monster Tribute Site A site by a sincere fan of the great classic Universal monsters.   "Universal Steve" has done some good work on this site, so visit him soon.

Classic Horror-The One Stop for Quality Terror on the Web Another noteworthy fan site offering classic horror film reviews, historical descriptions, and links involving classic horror and noteworthy modern films. 

Cool Books And Movies "Cool" as in shivery!  This fan site offers information and fun stuff to fans of the horrific word as well as the horrific film.   There's a nifty trivia contest (which old Renfield promptly flunked) and even a section for aspiring authors.  Pay it a visit.

Monster Fashion This is a new, just-out-of-the-egg horror fan website that needs some willing "corpse-e-spondents" and other contributors.  For a start, there's a nice tribute to fantasy-writer Philip Jose Farmer, and information for those who know Cthulhu!

House Of Fright: Classic Horror Movies This website is dedicated to the classic monsters--not Jason or Freddy, but the "smarter" horror films, as well as the classic gothic horror novels.

I Was A Teenage Horror Fan Another promising fan site devoted to classic film horror films. Rob Learner definitely was--and is--a "Teenage Horror Fan" and his is a "site" to behold. He ranks horror flicks from five to zero stars and you'll get a kick out of his capsule reviews.

Greg's Hammer Tribute Page Greg Turnbull's great collection of artwork, photos, and articles about Hammer Films is back on the Web!  Greg has some truly unique Hammer artifacts as well as non-Hammer, non-horror information.

Hammer Horror Classics Hey, you can't have too many Hammer Studios tribute pages!  This one is nicely rendered with swell graphics and some good information on the "studio that dripped blood."

A Vincent Price Tribute This is a nicely rendered website tribute to the late and great Vincent Price, with plenty of information about Price's films, as well as information concerning Price's art and cooking interests tossed in.  Bone-Appetite!

Dwight Frye: Official Home Page Sister Grimm has just posted the first page of a site dedicated to classic cinema's fly-catcher and deformed scientific assistant without peer, Dwight Frye.   The site's still going up, but it should soon be a suitable shrine to Mr. Frye.

Killer.Com Page James Raymond is a horror film fan currently putting together a cast for a horror movie script he wrote.   He's quite serious about getting the film made and is still looking to cast a few parts.  Visit his site and who knows...you could become a horror film star (or at least a victim).

Silent Scream, The Barbara Steele Homepage This site is a fitting homage to raven-haired horror diva Barbara Steele. Dean Harris has loaded his web pages with tons of great graphics and interesting information about Ms Steele's films. Well worth the download time.

Welcome to Elizabeth's Nightmare Elizabeth serves up a real horror feast, with movie reviews, sounds, fonts, info on webrings, etc., all packaged in delightfully creepy graphics. This is how fan pages should look and rarely do.

Horror Hotel, Treasure to Trash Horror Movies A really fun horror appreciation site, fashioned in the form of a run-down hotel, where you ascend and descend various floors in search of classic and recent horror productions. Very cleverly rendered. You can check in, but you may not check out of this hotel!

Tooth & Nail Horror Films, cult films, horror fiction, cutting edge music--all these are covered--and very entertainingly--in this fanzine. This is really a different site...well worth a visit.

House of Horrors This site is dedicated specifically to horror films. The caretaker is a real horror fan and he (it?) has opened his horror house as a resource for other horror film fans. Go to the site, and go into the house...don't be afraid...

Horror/Sci-Fi Film- Home Page Your host, Dave Dreher, runs this web information page for The Mining Company, and it's a great resource for the latest news and views in the field of horror films.

Black Christmas Web Page A superior web shrine to one of the better horror films of the Seventies, a film (and a website) that definitely deserves a look by horror fans.

Lon Chaney Jr. Homepage A fan's Web page dedicated to that great horror star, Lon Chaney, Jr., who labored in the Universal Studios salt mines during the horror halcyon days and then keep on lumbering through many "A," "B," and "Z" pictures afterward. Very informative and well laid out site.

Dub's Cool Pages Cool is right! This site covers all sorts of films, including "Rat Pack" films (don't worry, there's some horror films there, too). "Dub" is constantly expanding his film coverage, so visit him regularly.

Creative Imagination Imaginative and creative website from horror and fantasy writer Eric Tennyson, with his original works and works-in-progress.

Fantastic Film Appreciation Page A high-quality fan site with nice graphics and comprehensive horror film reviews by a dedicated and literate fan.

Nightmarez Cafe An interesting horror film fansite that's now going to hard copy with its print newsletter. Check out both!

Dromana Twin Drive-In One of the still-existing drive-ins that most resembles the fabled "theaters under the stars" from bygone years is located in...Australia!   Visit Paul's Web page and see how a drive-in should really be run.  And if you're in the Melbourne area...

American Drive-In Dot Com This is the web site of drive-in historians Don and Susan Sanders, authors of two great books on our vanishing drive-ins.  In addition to selling their books, the site has a huge repository of drive-in pictures from all over the country.

Brian's Drive-In Theater A truly fun site for the appreciation of drive-ins and (especially) drive-in movies, and Brian doesn't turn his nose up at drive-in horror flicks.   He also covers other film genres, and devotes a bit of web space to the "Boneyard," devoted to deceased B-movie stars.  Pay Brian a visit and be sure to stop by the concession stand! 

Drive-ins.com This is the definitive drive-in information site on the Web.  Use it to check out the status of drive-ins remaining in operation, news about drive-ins, and the site's immense collection of drive-in photos.

Drive-in Movies, The 50's Not a big website by any means, this tribute to the drive-in fun of the Fifties is still worth a visit, especially for the small but select collection of classic drive-in horror and sci-fi posters displayed there.

Trash Compactor This is a brand new search engine portal site dedicated to B-movies, including our favorite horror and monster films.  It has a nice interface, and lists sites for free, so it should become a great resource very soon.

Horror Web The newest and perhaps the "ghoulist" horror fan resource site on the World Weird Web.  The site is packed with horror film, horror novel, and horror art news, views, and reviews, as well as nifty polls and contests.  Pay the folks at Horror Web a visit and say "Boo!" to Horror Wench.

Slacker's Sci-Fi Source Whoever put this site together is no "slacker"--the site is packed with well-organized information for sci-fi film fans.  It's definitely worth a bookmark on your browser.

Carfax Abbey This site, run by a dedicated horror film fan, strives to be "The Horror Film Database," and it certainly contains lots of interesting information on films, books, and new releases.  It's well worth a visit from time to time to see what's new!

Horror Fans Anon An ambitious site maintained by a true horror fan from Australia, this website promises "horror news updated daily."  There's certainly lots of up-to-the-minute information of interest to fright film fans and not a few reviews and profiles of horror celebs as well.

Video Watchdog For many years, Video Watchdog was the only source for knowing just what was in that video box before you bought it.  Now, the Video Watchdog reviews DVDs as well as videos, and it's still a fundamental source of information.

Horror Movie Mania This is a horror resource site that seems to have it all...news on upcoming horror releases, new horror releases on video and DVD, biographies on horror actors and actresses, and more.

Horror Vault Another useful horror fan resource with information on horror movies, horror books, horror clip art, horror fonts, horror movie posters, and more.  There's even horror games and a continuing horror story you can add to!

DVD Nightmare If you have a DVD player and want to know the latest information on DVD releases, check out this professional website.  Up-to-the-minute information on horror DVD releases, plus some industry news, are well presented here.

Anchor Bay Entertainment Anchor Bay is the firm that had brought many Hammer Horror classics from the dead into glorious resurrection, as well as providing excellent editions of classic and cult films.  Check out their website for their newest releases.

Hammer Films Desktop Themes and Screen Savers For those of you who just have to have Hammer Horror staring at you when you work on your Mac or PC, this handy website has a lot of neat wallpaper and desktop themes ready for download.  While you're there, check out the site's Hammer Film Polls Page.

The Haunted Mansion This website boasts a nice collection of spooky backgrounds, sounds, and MIDI music files, all designed to make your computer seem "haunted."   The site's focus is the classic movie monsters and it's nicely done.

Really Scary A horror fan's delight of a site, which features horror industry news, updated daily with coverage of film, TV, books, collectibles, DVD/VHS, music and something the folks there like to call "Old School Scary"...you'll need to visit the site to find out what it is (you won't be disappointed!).

Rate It All--Horror Movies Everyone, it seems, has their own personal list of their favorite horror movies...but up to now has had to keep it to themselves.  No longer...this site lets you rate your horror film faves and lets you know how other horror fans have rated the classics.

About.Com's Horror/Cult Movies Page This is another professionally rendered site that gathers all sorts of news, features, and top websites on the topic of horror films.   It's packed full of goodies, and Mare Stern is your guide.

A Writer's Choice Literary Journal A well-done literary journal and resource site for writers of all types and genres...it boasts a keen "gothic" writing section.   Aspiring and professional writers will find mush here to like, as well as readers.

Horror Talk A new horror films discussion board...it's very professionally laid out, very easy to use, and it already has drawn many horror fans!  Renfield visits here often!

Ren's World Of Horror Another fearsome feature-filled resource site for horror fans maintained by the hospitable Ren, with goodies ranging from creepy graphics to frightening fonts to "killer blood" recipes!

Horror Net This is the all-horror news on-line site...containing all the latest information on horror films, horror stars, and frightening facts in general.  Worth visiting often to keep "a-beast" of what's going on in the horror entertainment scene.

The Horror Screenwriter's Page Jeff Beres, a screenwriter whose work appears in HORROR-WOOD quite regularly, maintains a website dedicated to providing practical information to aspiring horror screenwriters. This is a great resource page!

Gross Gear A well-known site for buying horror (and horrible) tee shirts--but they also feature a fun horror and sci-fi movie trivia challenge each month. Their designs are awesome, too.

Blackpages This is a cool new alternative search engine that will catalog and index the "dark" sites (such as this webzine) of the 'Net. If you're looking for a sinister site or sinister subject, this is a "ghoul" place to start.

New Voices Screenwriters Group This is a great new resource for aspiring (and perspiring) screenwriters. Join the group and get support, ideas, and inspiration.

The Horror Movie Directory Just as the title indicates--a well-rendered site that features both mini and major works on horror films, the ever-expanding list of horror films in appropriately creepy cate-"gories," as well as some cool pictures and sounds. This is an excellent horror film resource.

HWA: Horror Writers Association The official horror writers' association, with members like Stephen King and Clive Barker, dispenser of the annual Bram Stoker Awards.

Rick's Horror Shop A horribly handy website for purchasing great make-up effects and monstrous props to en-deaden your dungeon...check out Rick's handy F/X tips.

Savage Film Group  This is a movie (well, video)-making bunch of folks who shoot epics full of vampires, masked wrestlers, shapely women, and savage men. Rock Savage runs it, and the site is a hoot. Perhaps you can star in a Savage Production!

Unofficial Paul Mack The Moviemaker Page: That Little Monster  Paul Mack made the film That Little Monster which so evocative of the classic horror films that Sinister Cinema carries it!  This site carries lots of interesting information about the film, as well as featuring Forrest J. Ackerman on the splash page.

4th Floor Pictures Who says independent studios are dead?  4th Floor Pictures is yet another horror film factory that stay up and running by giving modern horror fans what they crave--shock and grue!

Brimstone Productions Another scrappy independent filmmaking group formed to produce horror and science fiction films.  The site has some good information on independent filmmaking.
